Laboratory cleaning by someone who has run a lab.
Scheduled cleaning of laboratory space, scoped room by room by a clinical laboratory professional and done by BMG’s own team to his standard. Clean enough to test in.
What this is
Laboratory space is not office space. Reagents, open instruments, calibrated equipment, samples in process: a general cleaning crew doesn't know what it's looking at. BMG’s cleaning is scoped and supervised by someone who does.
For lab directors, practice administrators and facility managers running an in-office or independent laboratory.
Scope, in writing.
Every engagement gets a scope letter after the walkthrough. This is the shape of it.
What's cleaned
- Bench and work surfaces
- Floors
- High-touch points: handles, switches, keypads
- Sinks and fixtures
- Restrooms and support spaces within the lab suite
What BMG won't do
- Regulated medical waste (red bag)
- Sharps handling
- Operating-room terminal cleaning
- Sterile processing
- Biohazard remediation
- Compounding areas
How it runs
Walkthrough, scope letter, schedule.
- Walkthrough first. Brett sees every room in scope and what's on the benches.
- Scope letter. What's in, what's out, the schedule, and the standard. Products and contact times are stated for your space, so your compliance file has them.
- Scheduled cleaning on the practice's calendar, in the windows the lab sets, so testing isn't disturbed.
- Anything noticed that's outside cleaning gets reported, not ignored.
Questions a lab director asks
Before the walkthrough.
Who actually does the cleaning?
BMG’s own team, working to the scope letter and to a standard set by Brett Gall, the owner. What the letter says is what happens.
Which products are used?
They're named in the scope letter for your space, with contact times, so your compliance file has them. Nothing is used in a lab that Brett wouldn't use in one he ran.
Can BMG take regulated medical waste?
No. Red-bag waste and sharps stay with your licensed hauler. Brett will point you to one if you need it.
Will cleaning interrupt testing?
The schedule is set at the walkthrough around the lab's testing windows.
What area does BMG cover?
Cape Cod and Southeastern Massachusetts for cleaning. Consulting is statewide.
